Never out of date: ‘The soft forces will certainly win’

The soft powers will surely win
in the end — this I hear like a heartfelt whisper
in me: if it were silent all the light would dim
all the heat would freeze inside.
The powers that still encircle love
advancing gradually she will conquer,
then the great bliss can begin
that w’when our hearts listen attentively
hear rustling in all tenderness
as in small shells the great sea.
Love is the meaning of the life of the planets
and humans and animals. There is nothing to disturb
it rise to her. This is the trick to know:
to perfect Love everything ascends.
